about

Orryelle Defenestrate-Bascule:
‘The God Beneath the Fields’ is a remix by Orryelle of the track ‘The God in the Fields’ by ASHTORETH and Grey Malkin. It was created as a section of the soundtrack for Orryelle’s 20-min short film, ‘Orpheus in Tartarus’.
The track -which originally already featured throat-singing and violin from Orryelle- was re-arranged and re-mixed with additional sounds by Orryelle (Ardennes BE) and Damien Everett (Melbourne Aust.) and Urzon for Orpheus’ meeting first with Cerberus- the 3-headed guard-dog of the Underworld, and then with Hekate Trimorphe as the Keeper of the Keys (Kleidochos), whose voice in the track is sung by Wendy Rule (Santa Fe, USA).
An extended flashback sequence from the esoterotic feature film in progress (completion expected August 2020) has been pre-released as a 20-min short film ‘Orpheus in Tartarus’ (teaser after the credits) and can be seen and heard in full here:

It won 'Best Experimental Film' in the International Open Film Festival, plus Outstanding Achievement awards in 'Short Film' and 'Sound Production’;’Best Editing' in the Holy Grail Film Festival (Jerusalem) plus outstanding achievements in Short Film and Experimental Film categories; and has also been selected for screening in the Fantastic Film Festival (Barcelona) and Bizarrya Film Festival.
